Man this forum is dead. Doesn't anyone else care about non-Kaiju films?

I recently saw the live action film of Time Traveller: Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and Adrift in Tokyo. I enjoyed both films very much and high recommend them both.

If anyone else could recommend me some more semi-lighthearted films like these that take place in a modern Japan that'd be great.

My favorite non-Japanese films are probably Chungking Express and Fallen Angels. Highly recommend these to anyone fascinated by Chinese locations/environments.

Just finished watching Rurouni Kenshin. The anime is one of my favorites, and the live action version did not disappoint me in the least! I have no complaints about the casting or the merging of different story arcs, it was all done very well. And the action was excellent! If you're a fan, watch it!
