For one reason or another, I haven't noticed anything new on this board about Banno's IMAX Godzilla flick project for some time now...however, in the most recent issue of G-Fan, the project was given the name Godzilla to the Max - 3D, and stated that in the film, Godzilla will battle a *new* creature called "Deathla," a chlorophyll-eating Smog-Monster-like beast (with "swarm powers" no less).
The battle spans from South America to NYC, which blows me away...yet several names have already been mentioned: Eiichi Asada is helming the SPFX, and 3D cinematographer Peter Anderson (Star Trek: The Experience).

So...if this is old news, somebody stop me, but I just thought that, since there wasn't a topic on this since the old "Banno 3D" thread, I thought I might as well post this stuff.

Personally, I'd love to see what Banno has in store, and I'm very curious to see what Deathla will be like.

While I'm really looking forward to this, and I'm always for new kaiju foes, I'm not too sure about this "Deathla." I mean, it's a Godzilla/pollution feature, and they have to invent a new monster? Deathla may end up being very cool and all, but if Godzilla goes up against pollution, I expect to see Hedorah, not a Hedorah-like creature. This would be the pouring of salt on the wound for Hedorah (the wound being GFW).

It'd be like having a film where Godzilla fights a giant butterfly deity, but it's not Mothra.
