Godzilla Fest 2026: Tokyo Disappears short announced!
Posted: Mon Apr 27, 2026 1:44 pmThis year's Godzilla Fest live-action short has officially been announced! A follow-up to last year's short, this one will be titled "Tokyo Disappears!" And they're going to be crowd-funding a new Burning Millennium Godzilla suit for this one too, with Shinichi Wakasa once again returning to help create it!

I'm so glad they're continuing with these shorts. In an age when even Toho is making their Godzilla films with CGI (and doing an incredible job with it!) it's great that we're still getting some live-action stuff to look forward to each year that's being done with the classic tokusatsu techniques. Now if only they could release that Blu-ray of the previous short films over here too that'd be great too!
