Monster Zero x SciFi Japan - Archive Only

So with the announcement made, I figured we'd start fresh with talk of this movie. So here is new place for all discussion, news, etc. leading up to release. Enjoy!

Cool. Looking forward to this, as I'll be able to travel to Japan next summer. Can't believe I'll finally get a chance to go there....sounds like this will be a good one to see there as well. So, obviously I'm not booking anything till a release date is announced, but when should we expect that? Do you think they'll aim for July like they did with G'14? I guess its all speculation at this point....just want to speed up time and go on this trip.

For some reason I thought I saw a 12.2016 somewhere in one of those announcements.

I mean, I didn't think it was a specific date so much as aiming for December.

This is all very exciting!

Shooting this fall for a summer release

Depending upon when it comes out it'd be great if G-Fest would show it...but...knowing G-Fest I doubt that'd happen.

I mostly just can't foresee dropping that cash to go see the movie in Japan.

I'm not sure how much say he had in the design so-to-speak but I can say that he does press for terrifying monsters. I recall reading somewhere that he wanted to push Gamera 3's kaiju scenes into an even more horrific realm but Kaneko and the studio held him back.

I think we're really going to get a terrifying Godzilla in this one. Godzilla purists who didn't like the 2014 film should be happy with this new one.

I can't wait, this is the dream team I would have wanted for a Godzilla film.

I've heard rumors that he was visibly angry when Gamera 3 was screened for the first time. During the 'tentacle sex' scene, specifically.
