Monster Zero x SciFi Japan - Archive Only

This doesn't strictly apply to the upcoming 2016 film but future installments in general.

Personally I'd like to see the return of creatures similar in origin to Godzilla: Anguirus, Rodan, Varan, Baragon. I think any of those are ideal for a good first installment before showcasing more outlandish friends and foes in potential sequels. I know it won't be a surprise if Toho goes for Mothra, Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla again but this is about your interests, not Toho's. There's always the prospect of original kaiju as well.

I went with Rodan, Anguirus, Baragon, Hedorah and Other (Biollante).. The first three for the reasons tbeasley mentioned, the last two i feel have a lot of potential given advances in technology

I'd also like to see Titanosaurus, Megalon, Varan, or Battra again.

I think it would be really cool to see Battra appear in a movie without Mothra. A destructive, evil-looking, moth-like monster has plenty of potential on its own without having to be involved with Mothra, the Cosmos, or Infant Island mythology.

Godzilla, Anguirus, Battra, and Hedorah - now that would be one hell of a monster melee!

I'd also welcome more new kaiju from Toho.

Hedorah, since Yoshimitsu Banno is producer of the Legendary films.

Since Mothra, Ghidorah, and Rodan are forthcoming from Legendary (really, most excited about Rodan there) I'd have to say Angilas.

It would be nice to see Varan to come back.

In the immediate future, only Rodan and Anguirus. Time for some new monsters.

It'd be great to see King Caesar return in a future Legendary film (or from Toho since they're interested in doing more movies, I'm not picky).

I'm still interested in more new daikaiju, perhaps after this next movie Legendary will go with a combination of existing and new kaiju.

Somebody new or somebody who isn't Mothra, King Ghidorah, or MechaGodzilla.

or have him go up against even crazier like a Great Old One.

Could be a new kaiju and an old kaiju, or even one of the unused kaijus from earlier concepts.

Honestly, I wouldn't be mad to see a Mechagodzilla IV. From the rest of the choices on the poll, I picked Angilas, Baragon, and Gigan. My "other" choices would be King Seesar, Gorosaurus, Manda, and - accepting that Mothra would probably have to come back, too - Battra.

Mothra and Mechagodzilla are currently getting the snub.

As much as fans are tired of seeing them the realistic answer for what we are going to see is Mechagodzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah. There's certainly room for the classic fan favorites but I don't see this series as an opportunity for them to 'break through' into mainstream foes.

Since Legendary has the first big three covered (particularly my favorite monster Rodan), I think Varan is the one monster I want to see return more than any other. He has a stand-out design, a nice variety of abilities, and great potential for mythology that could play a part in the hypothetical film's plot.

i would love to see him fight a werewolf (not counting the fan made film).
