Pretty much all the information that can be talked about on this movie has been analyzed, analyzed again, then over analyzed just to make sure every speculation no matter how insane has been reached.

I'd like to think if this movie were successful(or even if it isn't) this movie would get a spin off TV series. Much like the Sarah Connor Chronicles. In the united states we don't really have any giant monster related TV shows. I always thought Godzilla would be ripe for getting his own TV series. With how shows like Battle Star Galactica, Lost showing that science fiction can be popular and well done I think it would be time for the Big G to take his first step to the little screen.

The show could focus on a team of scientists/military personnel whose goal is containment and redirection of Godzilla and other giant monsters. With a TV show you could also introduce stuff that would be too crazy for the film such as aliens and cultists. The series could also have a weekly villain with a main story arc that focus on an ultimate villain for the season finale.

So what is your take?

I think a show could work...but I'd prefer to have a show separate from the films...

i'm not really a big fan of "oh dude, you HAVE to watch the show or play the video game for the movie to REALLY work"

That's also the Hulk. The big, well known superhero franchises are going to continue to get TV shows. Your everyday CGI orgy of an action film (which is what Godzilla is going to be) probably won't.

And forget about any possible Godzilla TV show being live action. Forget it right now. An ongoing TV show where the main character is a CGI giant monster? There's no way that's going to happen.

If the upcoming comic series is good and sells well, maybe it could get adapted into a monster-filled TV series.
