I saw this a while ago. Have you read the accompanying blog? To be honest, the guy comes across a little nuts.
I've seen him posting on a lot Japanese BBS forums as "Gojira" recently trying to promote it. His Japanese is quite rudimentary, which is kind of odd considering he frequently talks about writing a lot of the screenplay in Japanese and having studied the language in college* (not meaning to being rude about it. My Japanese is terrible.) He even got the katakana for “Gigantisâ€

Oh yeah... I really enjoy his gonzo and somewhat innocent vigor regarding his labors... he's like the Christopher McCandless of fan film making!
I give him credit for trying, even if it stinks of obsession. Regardless of his kookiness, he's none the less amassed a solid understanding and knowledge of the obstacles and politics involved in kaiju film endeavor.... things many peeps toot their assumptions about without having any real experience tackling them.
You've got to give it up to the man for going the distance.
