I'm against Toho on this. It was a cute parody and not an infringement on Toho or Godzilla.

What kills me is "$150,000". It's like lawyers looking to earn this year's pocket money. Or maybe it's Yukio Kotaki's (GM at Toho LA) annual salary.

Yeah, I watch that Hollywood hogwash and tonight's episode is of particular interest since it features a brief story on Toho's battle against Subway. They're suing for that new 5-dollar footlong campaign featuring a "giant, erect-standing monster." They showed clips of Burning G, Mothra and King Ghidorah.

This is so ridiculous. I could understand if the creature actually looked like Godzilla but geez.

WOAH! On TMZ, the feature on the Toho lawsuit showed a clip from Mothra vs. Godzilla, and it was taken from tokyomonsters.com!

Obsurdity breeds obserdity. The commercial was horrible and so is Toho. That "thing" was not Godzilla. Grow up Toho and do something meaningful for a change. How rediculous can a professional organization get?

Tragic. Did they ever try to take action against New Line for the Godzilla gag in "Goldmember?" It wouldn't surprise me, seeing as how it pretty much pokes fun at such absurd practices as this.
