Posted: Wed Jun 27, 2007 3:42 pmi would like to see a Vs. Start the first part of the movie explaining Godzilla's origin and what he has been doing. Bring in a fresh new Kaiju and go through its origin and what it is doing and where it is going.
2nd part lets kick it into gear..bring Godzilla in...i would like to see Godzilla as he was in the Heisei era..just their..neither foe nor enemy. Bring Godzilla in and do his crunch and destroy method. bring in the new monster and it goes about doing its own damage to its surroundings.
the 3rd and final part...humans fail at all levels...the JSDF has fallen and Godzilla and the new kaiju meet up and have a brawl.
i think this new monster would and should have something to do with Godzilla on a very personal level. something that will drag us in the moment. anyway yea that is my take.
i still want to see Godzilla vs Gamera. If i was to do that story..i would make it a trilogy. the first movie is GvsG and then the second a old kaiju comes in...Gyaos flys in to take out gamera..but also attacks Godzilla...Godzilla and Gamera fight for their lives..and eventually fend off most of the gyaos...in the mean time...the JSDF brings in a Mecha. Not sure if it should be MG or somen else...maybe a new Mecha. the third film in the trilogy would end at a draw...or leave it with Godzilla and Gamera hating each other..with no winner nor looser. nuff said.

Godzilla vs other kaiju second film (g helping the humans grudingly)
Third Film? Fine let him go back to playing volleyball with the sea monster (cloverfield)

Better yet, they should have a 5 minute classroom setting before the Toho logo with a guy sitting there explaining "This is Godzilla, we know the origins and various story lines....now that you know the basics, on with the show..." fade to the Toho logo....
Then you can get on with an entirely new timeline if you like but at least you will not have to have the scientist or military explain aspects of past attacks.
I kind of liked that charm in the latter Showa movies.....more like "well there's Godzilla again" none of this "Did you know Godzilla first appeared or originated...."

Anyway Godzilla 54 is so classic, I'd never ignore it, IMHO.
