You've all seen Negadon (well, I haven't, but you get the point) and the Ninja Turtles film released this weekend was a lot of fun (and #1 at the box office).

It got me thinking. If they did an all CG Godzilla film, where Godzilla looks and acts like Godzilla and not some Gremlin/iguana, a film made by a talented director with a respect for the source material... personally I'd be all for it.

Heck! You might even have people do motion capture for the monster's amid rows of green buildings; the modern day suit actors!

CGI people look like crap in both Negadon and Ninja Turtles.... Everything else looks fine. I'm giving this a thumbs down. CGI people just take me out of the movie (especially when its something I'm used to seeing in live action, such as Godzilla), sorry.

As long as the overall japanese design is used and is not one dimensional (visually or otherwise) I MIGHT bend on this one.

If excellent quality CGI was used to enhance an already kick-ass suit design, then YES I would be open to it, but an all CGI Godzilla for an entire film .... Not sure I would like it after the first half hour or so.

That pic looks so good that the only reason I could tell it wasn't was by looking at the hair... CGI hair has come a long way, but it still doesn't look REAL real
