That is the model of Godzilla that Stan Winston and Stan Winston Studios made for the unmade American Godzilla movie that was to be directed by Jan DeBont and released around 1994-1995.

I would love to see a new Godzilla of anykind, as long as G doesn't run up buildings or hide inside them;i'll keep my fingers crossed for this.

Apparently SONY has no one else to fill their sockets, so they want Godzilla to return and save them. Rrrriiiiiight.

Maybe they'll introduce ANOTHER Godzilla for fanboys to frown over....or they've learned from their mistakes and they'll actually create something good for everyone - commoners and fanpeople alike - to enjoy. And maybe, just maybe, this will be the Godzilla movie ToHo's been waiting to make.....

BTW, what happened to SONY's ID4 II? Don't they have that to showcase to the world? Or what about their overseas prospects?

Yeah, I really don't understand the negativity here. Yeah, it might suck, or it might rock. The same is true whenever Toho announces a new G movie anyway. I say we give it a chance and don't knock it till it happens. Afterall, can Sony really be THAT thick to not understand what they did wrong with the first one?
