You still haven't defined your interpretation of "tweaked". There is a difference between the terms "enhanced" and "tweaked". Some may think that they both imply the same but they do not. I'm against adding or deleting features that have been consistant through all the Toho films without disregard to the basic concept of the original design (minus the "ears" and "forth toe" changes that I do not consider radical). There are those who seem more forgiving to the possibility of alterations that would be "uncharacteristic" to say the least. The "feathered" or "quilled" Godzilla is only an example that does not seem to bother some fans but I argue that the creature is not a bird. It is a reptile. Not a fish. Not a mammal. It is a reptile. To me it's right up there with the '98 change of character that said Godzilla was asexual, neither male nor female but both. So, what do you mean by tweaked? Explain yourself.

indeed ....the speculation in the original film came from the fact that at that time there was no way to know for sure if there was not giant creatures at the bottom of the ocean.
The speculation was that there was a race of Godzilla-saurusa (if we want to give him a name) one actually 2 got bothered was mutated into an atomic radioactive breating dinosaurs by the bomb.....Lets not forget the second Godzilla in G RAIDS AGAIN and even a third one in SON OF GODZILLA all giant size....Again radiation is there to emplify his atomic power ....but we re not talking about a regular size dinosaur...

ODO island s legend would also suggest that Godzilla has walk there prior his mutation.
Older books in the 70ies suported that GODZILLA IS RACE with artwork of families of Godzillas at the bottom of the ocean. (Thou we probably shouldn t consider that but lets just say that in the sixties/seventies....
Godzilla was already a dragon monster of legend and not a overgrown dinosaur....this new origin is the product of the JURASIC PARC era.

Well, yeah. As ridiculous as a My Little Pony may or may not be, it's still a legitimate discussion about a legitimately good show, not an asinine back-and-forth about Godzilla's design, which has been proven to be "unchanged" by Toho (read: radically altered over the course of the past fifty-plus years) and may or may not be changed in the new movie that may or may not be made.
