Hmm. Makes me wanna say hence the death of suimation? Maybe that's what they're getting tired of. This is the age of digital/CGI. Maybe that would help the daikaiju revival. (along with some new, fresh kaiju)

Ok. So I guess this is just another down time for daikaiju movies? Like when the other G series went on hiatus after '75, '84, '95, and now '04? (even though there were those 3 Mothra movies from '96-'98) I also keep thinking about that New York Times article about the death of suitmation in Japan.

What is Kaneko doing now these days? I always thought he could've and should've been the next Eiji Tsuburaya. He could bring some life back to the daikaiju genre.
