It's 2014, it's been just under 60 years since a giant monster attacked the country of Japan. The US Department of Defense and Fish and Wildlife(I work for the federal government, in a case like this they would be connected believe it or not) are looking into the recent attack on the city of Osaka by the legendary monster. It was thought that said monster was killed by a top secret chemical weapon, but here it was in March 2014 reducing the JSDF and US Air Force that were deployed to protect Osaka to ash and cinder. It is alleged that a Chinese nuclear sub accident six months earlier had awakened the beast. The government is approached by a company called Winter Electronics that has devised a series of weapons designed to combat said giant creature. Meanwhile, a team is created from a Paleontology PHD, a nuclear physicist, a former tank commander, and a JSDF pilot who has sen first hand contact with the monster.

Weeks pass, and two nuclear subs disappear off the west and east coasts of Hawaii, and it is feared that Godzilla may be heading to America. Strangely enough a bizarre frequency precedes Godzilla's path, but nothing certain is discovered. A fleet is dispatched and collides with Godzilla 800 miles off the coast of California and is decimated. Winter Electronics's weapons are purchased while their super weapon is having finishing touches on it. Deployed the California coast are several tank divisions, various squads of fighters and bombers, and helicopter squads. With them come the Winter Electronics, maser ray tanks called Markalites-named after Phillip Marker a scientist who developed them from WE-the military does seem to hold its own for a few minutes before Godzilla plows through them. Meanwhile one of them team members constructed to devise tactics against Godzilla overhears a conversation from a WE rep. Turns out Godzilla was lured here with a mini sub no bigger than row boat with pretty much that spat out a frequency that attracted Godzilla. WE lured Godzilla to the US to capitalize on his destructive nature by selling weapons to the government. The team is alerted and a few stay behind to help with the onslaught of Godzilla while a few others go to Pasadena to go to WE's corporate headquarters and deal with them.

Problems arise because of Godzilla's radioactive nature, if Godzilla is injured enough(which is hardly) he bleeds a bit before his regeneration takes over, but the blood is a radioactive bio hazard. The Markalites are trounced and We deploys its giant robotic tank. Godzilla heads for San Onofre nuclear power plant. On the way a small township is in Godzilla's path so one of the main characters tries to rescue his invalid sister. It turns out bad that he has to rescue her in the midst of an attack by Godzilla in a small trailer community. WE is outed using cellphone tech for what they have done by the team that went to WE HQ but not before a massive robotic tank looking akin to Moguera is launched. It battles Godzilla using a massive maser cannon, missiles that contain a substance that slows down Godzilla's regen and its drill missiles. Godzilla looks like he's met his match, but not before he blasts the maser cannon as it powers itself up-causing a massive explosion that causes great damage to the super weapon. Then Godzilla proceeds to tear it to shreds with his fangs and claws. Godzilla wins and drains the plant, reigniting his regenerative powers and turns back to the sea-the object of his annoyance gone. The team members reflect on this and the Japanese member reflects on Godzilla's resilience and admits he has a form of respect for him.

That's just a passing very abridged look at what I would do.

If I were chosen to write and direct this film then it would be concrete verification that I was wrong all along and that WB/LP don't care about the character, as they are hiring me to make it. While I would be very upset, 75% of this board would rejoice.
