Oh no, guys! It all looks like crap!

Easily on par with Gamera 3 for crappiest special effects.

I thought the purple thing was vehemently debunked by Norman? Que? Or was it referring to heat beam only? Is this real life?

*edit*

He could have said there was something purple... I mean jesus christ norman.

Some shots looked eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhehehehehe but some shots looked WOWOWOWOWOOWOWOWOW.

LOL @ this reddit comment. I think it looks cool but it was a funny comment. "His throat looks like an anus with LED lights in it. " I almost spit my cereal out on my monitor.

Man, I love the shot of the bullets just bouncing off him.

The glow is on the blueish side of purple - maybe it is a combo of Godzilla's red inner light and the blue Cherenkov light of the breath?

I thought that trailer was fantastic! Beautiful music by Sagisu! Also, the weird, jitteriness of the prop in the opening shot actually came off as kinda creepy because of how little he moves.

CGI looks lifeless and airy when there's too much movement, so make you're character monolithic. It's a smart move.

Also, reviews are leaking out and they're quite positive:

The second link actually calls the movie a masterpiece, but has nice things to say about Independence Day: Resurgence.

Around 1:43 there is a great shot of shingles (or whatever you call them for Japanese houses) bouncing off a house as his foot hits the ground...

That might be my favorite shot so far. Delightfully simple.

The Prime Minister looks like an interesting character but the one I am interested in the most would be Satomii Ishihara's. (not because I want to marry her) I'm curious if she has some sinister background being a US Government official. Or maybe she is just there to represent the US butting it's nose into everything.

Alright well that clears that up. *sobs* I was beginning to think we were all being messed with.

I was going to begin crying saying, "I trusted you..."

Loved the new trailer. Especially the concentrated fire on Godzilla's head. So excite. I hope somebody decides to do a one-night theatrical thing for this.

I find it curious how many people love music on the second trailer.
I really dug the first trailer's music, but this one? Not at all. It seems like something more befitting of a retrospective moment, rather than a buildup. I got a bit of tension building from the first trailer's music, but this was just dull.

This interview has new footage about 30 seconds in. Watch it. Pretty cool. Some of the shots still look a little iffy, but cool none the less.

I'm glad MFW cleared the air about Norman.

Also - the trailer music is awful. Not liking it at all.

My head hurts from reading all the comments from the masses on general movie sites about "how bad the suit looks". I don't know if it should be taken as a comment or a criticism that most non-fans don't know its CG.
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

I liked the trailer. Music was a little unusual, but I'm not against it. And for those effects shots some still have issues with, usually these look better on a big screen as opposed to watching it on a computer or whatever device.

And would WB be keen on picking up the rights to this movie? There might be confusion among the general movie audience thinking this is "Godzilla 2" and that fact that it might be a poor box-office draw.
