Godzilla's skin doesn't need to be spiky. He's not an ankylosaur and he's not a porcupine. Just dark, thick, uniformly scaly skin, like every Godzilla design has always had. The scales don't have to look any particular way but they don't need any accoutrements.

I like that model even better in the regular colors, the flash shows them off better in the second photo. I might make the pupil a bit more detailed, but I would be fine with a design like this.

Surprised that this design/mock hasn't shown up in this thread yet:

The head kind of looks a little odd, but something similar to this design would make me more than pleased. This is a lot more classic Godzilla than something like the "spikes" version.
