At the very least I'd like to see a new banner.

I'm so used to the way it looks now... I dunno how I'd feel about something different.
I give my personal forum a new look every year or so, but this one has been this way for a LONG time.

Hmmm...interesting idea, I could deff see this place needing a new look. Might be just the thing we need as we head into the 2012/13 Godzilla shennanigans

Good idea. It's overdue.

I'd like the option to view the board as white or grey text on a black background. It's a lot easier on the eyes than staring at a luminous, mostly white screen.

An update is in the plans, but probably won't be happening in the immediate future.
Our goal is to give MZ a big overhaul that will include an archive of the old MZ articles, a stronger link with SciFi Japan as the front/news page, and a new look for the forums. But MZ was Aaron Smith's baby, and since his death those of us he asked to help out around here have made sure to keep the forums going (and they're doing well), handle new members requests (Gene's been doing that for years), take care of any problems that come up, and so on. Doing much more than that right now is difficult because everyone is strapped for time these days.
We have been chipping away at it, but it can be slow going. Since MZ changed servers so many times over the years a lot of the old articles were not in the current archives so we've been hunting down the older stuff, replacing missing photos, etc.
So for now I'd ask that members enjoy the forums as they now exist, and we'll try to get to the next version as soon as we can.
