OOOH....purdy...I wonder, can you animate that? It would be cool if you could make your own title sequences for fanfics, etc. Maybe even put them in .gif and post them at the top of a fan fic's page? That would be cool...

Thanks a lot, Shonokin, I appreciate it.
I am working on a 3d build of Mothra now...its, OK for a neophyte I guess. There is so much to learn to get realistic builds...and I fear my CPU and video card may not be up to the task in respects, but, no better way to learn then to do.

I highly encourage you to dig in and have fun! If you ever get stuck, there's plenty of tutorials online for most of the mainstream software packages. And I'm not opposed to answering a question or two once in while as well.

Good luck with your Mothra!

Well here she is all dolled up for the fall season...Mothra.
My first 3d kaiju...I still have some tweaking to do, too much of it looks like it escaped from Photoshop...
Lighting has been a pain, anyone have any suggestions?

Nice shape you have on there so far. It definately has the Mothra outline to it... The textures seem pretty pyschedelic though which keeps it from looking quite Mothra-like. You might find a pic of mothra's wings and body to reference your texture from. That's what I did with my Godzilla... I built up the body and fin textures from about a dozen different source pics of Goji. I would find a really nice area of "texture" to grab from a certain pic and paste it into my textures and then clone tool it out into the shape I need and make it fit properly to the model.

It's looking good so far!

Thanks, Sho. Let this serve as an example to everyone, if I can go from "What? Maya?" to actually making something, most anyone can!
