First attempt at Titanosaurus...



First attempt at Manda...kinda drew him with my own style.

Oh, and this is Kiryuu...

The skin texture for Titanosaurus looks a lot like Enferno.

Not bad, Kedzuel. Not your finest work, but not bad.

(Nothing will ever compare with Enferno...NOTHING! He is beyond greatness!!!)

It isn't, TZ. I swear. Yours didn't have base-releif for a texture. I couldn't do the black knobby things on his shoulder so, I just textured his whole body.

manda is my personal fav because the rainbow fins/snout really go well with the blue body plus manda looks vicious

BUt ignoring a few nitpicks, he looks absolutely awesome on the whole!

A lot of people either love or hate the face. I love the face, that's why I kinda fell in love with him because well, I made him too handsome for me not to. His face was based off of another character of mine who my editor says I should marry that's Emperor Kedzuel. You see him in my avatar. I swear, they look like twins if you put them side by side.

Manda, Manda was based off of an old 80's band album cover called Asia. Asia was like one of my favorite bands---still is. I have their vynal album with this on it.



That's what gave me the idea for Manda. I didn't want to do Manda exactly like that album because, well, I'd be copying. But the color scheme was based off of that.

And Titano...well...I know TG loves Titano. You can have Titano if you like, TG. And I plan on doing the latest version of Gigan some time. I like it very much. It looks similar to my biosyntech design for Kiryuu. Hell, I might just as a joke put both of them together in some sort of fighting stand off pose.

Holy crap. Titanosaurus and Manda just look awesome and rank as 2 of your top 10 drawings. Maybe I should stop being a lazy basterd and actully read your Kiryu stories fully. You also changed over to the Halo 2 logo for Mecha Godzilla as well.

Thanks....nah...I always had the Halo 2 font.

That's right, my Manda kicks all! Well, I wanted to make him look like what he was...a sea dragon. So, the fins really helped. I basically draw sea dragons that way naturally, with fins....lots of fins.

Right, I've got a few nitpicks on the Manda drawing... (I know this is probably an instant death sentence but I can't hold it in any longer )

The main thing that gets me is the lower third and how it seems to get really thick and just looks deformed (to me).

Then his upper arms seem to be too low on the body for my tastes, but maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about here...

And finally, the has a really bad overbite IMO. I dunno if this was intended or not, but it just really bugs me.

Titanosaurus and Kiryuu look absolutely stunning, but Manda leaves something to be desired IMHO.

But that's just me...

It's hard to draw on a note book that is like twice the size of the desk I'm drawing on. It's just hard. That's why Manda ended up the way he did. I found that I now need bigger paper in order to do more detailing, regular printer paper just doesn't cut it anymore.
