The edit style is based on the third Inception trailer, and uses the track Mind Heist by Zack Hemsey.

This was a difficult edit, since I needed to plan out which lines of dialogue I needed, capture the video with subtitles switched off, then redo the subtitles in Sony Vegas. I only know a few words of Japanese, so there was a lot of referring back to the DVD to make sure I was using the right dialogue. This edit also took twice as long as it should have, since Vegas kept crashing every few minutes once I had a lot of clips stacked up (not sure why, since I can usually edit higher resolutions than this without so much trouble), and it took ages to get rid of some interlacing issues.

Atragon is one of my favourite Ishiro Honda movies. Like many tokusatsu movies of the 60s, it was made on an insanely tight schedule. In Atragon's case, the screenplay was only locked three months before the film's theatrical release.

That was really awesome and really well done! And I have to say Atragon has one of the most wild openings for a movie. I had to start it over like three times to make sure I was watching the right movie.

It's a shame that the R1 DVD is out of print now, as I'm sure there'll be a new wave of kaiju fans incoming next year (if Pacific Rim hasn't already grabbed them). The cheapest copy on Amazon is currently $280, and there's one for over $3,700!! I'm glad I bought it when it was still $20.

Like your Matango trailer, this one is really cool too. It's a little weaker at the start, but it definitely picks up as you go further along. By the time the music kicks into gear, so does the trailer! Good job! :D
