What Mothra should Look like

Postby GMM_Mothra » Thu Aug 14, 2003 3:16 pm

Lets hope the picture turns out to look good, it looks good regularly, but when it's posted on the net it kinda gets messed up...

I based it off the Luna Moth

First off, you should try resizing that. Second, that's terrible. Mothra is supposed to be a symbol of comfort like a mother to Earth. You mothra is very evil and unwelcoming.

That's a great design! I agree with Dynamo that Mothra should be a little less "mean" looking to fit with her character, but I think it works as a sort of "supercharged" Mothra....Luna Mothra, to fit with your basis. A pissed-off laser-spitting Mothra that's totally unstoppable.

In short, she looks like a b****.

Best bet would be to post a much smaller version of the pictures and provide links to the full size ones for people to check out if they'd like. Someone on dialup would have to sit and wait for all this to download, plus each time someone checks this topic, there's a good bit of bandwidth being used from where you're storing the pictures that could be saved by posting smaller pictures.
All of us that draw have different styles, different levels of talent, and ideas on what the things we draw should look like.
GMM_Mothra, one thing you might could do is take your time more when you draw. Sketch lightly till you get what you want and then draw darker and erase your sketch lines as you work.
