Here goes my first attempt at posting a pic all by myself to here. This is the way my clay bust of Boris Karloff as FRANKENSTIEN 1931 looked last night before my teach hauled him off for his destiny in a firey kiln. Fire bad! Lets wish him luck.

AWESOME...what the heck was your teacher thinking (obviously he wasn't...I mean that's the only explanation for destroying such an outstanding work of art, right?) :?: :x

Oh oh! You misunderstood! The kiln is to fire him into hardened clay... but depending on who at the school I talked to, it might very well blow up into a million pieces!

The teacher mentioned above loves my Frankenstien almost as much as I do and promises he will be very very careful firing him! Still I feel like an expectant dad waiting in a waiting room!

i've always heard that it's if there's any moisture left (hence the need to let it dry) that's the reason it would blow up, not air pockets. though, i suppose either one could create rapidly expanding gases (either water vapor or air) in that extreme heat, so i guess both are potential hazards.
