1994 - [Bionic Kong] The army keeps Kong's body in the same facility where Project: Defender was held during WWII. Dr. Amy Franklin teams with the aged Dr. Ikio Sawamura (an expert in cybernetics,)and uses state of the art bionics to bring Kong back to life. Kong is controlled by a computerized system that automatically administers sedatives whenever he gets out of hand. It is hoped such research would advance the field of cybernetic replacement limbs for injured soldiers.
However, unknown to all is that Sawamura is actually Kong's old nemesis Dr. Huu. Since the end of the Cold War Dr. Huu has become a "free agent," manufacturing and selling chemical and biological weapons to the highest bidder. However, now he has a bigger plan in mind.
Dr. Huu steals the samples, burns down the lab, and short circuit's the main computer, thereby pumping Kong full of stimulants. Kong goes on a drug induced rampage through the city and escapes into the wilderness. Dr. Franklin goes searching for Kong while simultaneously trying to convince the United States army not to obliterate him on sight.

1880's - [Kong: King of Skull Island] The Natives of Skull Island worship "the Gaw," the young Kong is orphaned and eventually supplants Gaw's status as resident jungle deity. Gaw's species goes near extinct. A survivor of a stranded English merchant vessel creates a map of the Island.
Late 1930's - Scientists from around the world raid Skull Island and transplant many specimens to zoos, circuses, and museums. Several Nazi expeditions procure a number of the more dangerous predators, along with one of the few remaining death runners.
1947 - Nazi scientists use many of the larger skull island predators in the infamous Project Donnerdrache, headed by Dr. Huu.
1994 - After the showdown in the barn with the army, Dr. Amy Franklin uses state of the art cybernetic technology to bring the deceased Kong back to life. Unbeknownst to her however is that her partner Dr. Sawamura is actually Kong's old nemesis Dr. Huu. Since the end of the Cold War Dr. Huu has become a "free agent," manufacturing and selling chemical and biological weapons to the highest bidder. However, now he has a bigger plan in mind.
The disguised Huu maintains his cooperative ruse all the while using the facilities genetic samples to engage in secret cloning research. He intends continue the work of Project Donnerdrache, and create an army of mind controlled monsters which he can sell to the highest bidder. However, while searching through the preserved samples of Skull Island's larger predators, he comes across something he did not expect... genetic samples of the island's former chief deity, the dreaded Gaw...
Turns out Dr. Huu is the grandson of Bar-Atu, the last high priest of Gaw. As Bar-Atu allowed the worship of Gaw to be supplanted by the Kong, his son Kobal voluntarily left the island in disgust. Many thought Kobal perished at sea, but he survived to reach mainland Japan and had a son of his own, a son who was a scientific genius at a young age, and who's father filled his head with wondrous and dangerous tales of the great God Gaw... Dr. Huu now understands his past failures to destroy the hated Kong, as he is but a mortal in the battle between Gods. He failed for a reason, so that he would come into such a position to bring the feared Gaw back to life, and help him conquer the world...

Several months pass - Kong is still on the loose, while Dr. Huu uses stolen Soviet technology to excellerate the growth of his saurian clones. Bionic Kong is finally tracked and captured, and returned to the research facility. Kong is put into suspended animation, his final fate uncertain. Dr. Huu uses this moment to attack!
The facility and adjoining army base is decimated by his mind controlled dinosaurs. As the remaining soldiers hold up in the lab, Amy manages to release Kong from his holding cell. Dr. Huu is shot, releasing his hold on the dinosaurs who run amok, escaping into the wilderness. Kong and Gaw battle it out while the army surrounds them. To the chagrin of Dr. Franklin the decision is made to destroy both of them with a fuel-air explosive.
