Do to the very style that this text is written in the reader may become confused at parts while reading. To avoid confusion during the viewing, I present this section along with the prologue and forward following this page. This story has a large amount of history and background that cannot be told all in one area. The basic background is given in the forward but even after reading it the viewer may find himself wondering what some points are meant for. These are not plot holes for those who seem critical; this is for the fact that the world I created has such a large database.

At the end of book 3, Appendix A- F has a much larger background of information. Giving much detail into the past of Seldeom. So much in fact that we went as far as giving some language explanation and translations. At the end of the text you read is an index along with a pronunciation sheet for those who have trouble pronouncing some words correctly or need to find a certain area in a hurry. Until book 3 is complete, I highly recommend looking over the next pages very carefully to avoid the need to look back and forth threw the book.

The stories location, which is a major question, takes place in the center of the Atlantic Ocean. A large landmass, large enough to hold three large countries, once existed in the middle of the ocean. The time took place back after the days of Middle Earth, when Middle Earth was a story that happened long ago. The natives of the 4 Continental Regions were not aware of the world around them, so when a word such as the ‘the world’ is used, it refers to these areas only. Latter on in this story a conversation goes on about “The Lord Of The Ringsâ€

The Dark Lands

The peaceful countries occupy the entire northern section of the world and then one gargantuan country with a name as simple as ‘The Dark Lands’ controls the entire southern half of the world. A land with all kinds of different and exotic climates and hundreds of boiling active volcanoes and earthquakes. Every village suffers from being under attack nightly or the village itself is made of evil beings. Towards the capital the sky rolls with red mist and burnt black clouds that move violently. The lightning is orange, like flame bolts. In other areas the climate changes to pitch black when you can’t see the hand in front of your face and then in other areas it’s a cloudy wasteland of smoke. The Dark Lands were the original concept of the world; they are described as ‘Hell Located On Earth.’

In the whole history of the Dark Lands there were over 15 dark masters that led the country. Most of the time the master would never attack and if he ever tried to declare war he was always shot down before a war could began. Rarely had a full war ever began. Where did they all come from? The answer to that is in the Garden Of Hell. At the end of the World War the great Dark Lord fled to a small area deep within a dark thorn bush wasteland where he bent over and cried. His tears touched the ground and gave birth to seed. After his fall the seed sprouted and gave birth to the next Dark Lord. No one has ever been able to reach the Garden Of Hell. But every time a Dark Lord was about to fall it was always his duty to bend over the Garden and cry to give birth to the next master.

How the first ever Dark Lord was born has never been answered but the best guess is the Satan gave birth to him and sent him to Earth to do his bad bidding. The first Dark Lord was the greatest one. His power was unequaled and his lust for death was unreachable. He was peer cruelty; he was the rejuvenator of evil itself. ‘The Master Satan’ he called himself. He was the true lord of evil; no other bad demon in any story you have read was as evil as him. More powerful then anything Saroun ever did nor anybody ever could do. Even a regular master from any story you have read could not have the heart to do what his heart wanted. He wanted to hear crying, he wanted to feel fire, and he wanted to know that everybody was in pain. There was no reason, he just liked it. He had no vengeance, he had no cares, he had no anger, and he had no reason. He just liked it; like how we like the taste of certain food.

The Dark Land council held the 10 great riders that came from Irasian. They were cold-blooded animals that never showed the face, even in secret. There clothing was filled with marks and long scratches giving them a unique sense of terror. They were immortal also, they never died. They were long lasting monsters that liked the cold grip of the dark; they were the very things that lasted in a little kid’s nightmares. They fell to the feet of Sir Eran during the battle for Eran’s Land. But rumor grew after the World War that they were still alive, that they crept away from the battle after falling and waited in the darkness of there original home, waiting for the call of the next real master that knew how to lead them.

The Dark Land has many weird landscapes. So many that each area is divided into its own climate and area. The area towards Mt. Hell and the Dark Tower where the Dark Lord would be is always filled with red misty skies and black smoky clouds that swim threw the air. The mountain system is much like Delegain’s with its almost constant storms except for most of these mountains end up being dormant volcanoes with caves inside them that lead into the cave of unknown creatures watching in the darkness. At the very base of the mountains is a desert of waste. Much like the home of the Riders, this area is a pit of garbage. The sky is a misty gray and the air is almost constant dry with heat. The Black Sea is an area that exists and yet there is nothing there. It is a black sea of darkness. The mist is black and the only thing visible comes from the lighthouses on the rocks. But even the lighthouses are not enough to fill in the black misty eternal landscape. The Burning Village is a black sky area. The sky stays black 90% of the time and the light all comes from the distant areas.

Sever is probably the most spine chilling place that ever stayed in existence. The mine is what gives birth to 80% of the Dark land. Sever, one of the Dark Lords favorite workers, is a transporter. The mines are said to lead into the very depths of hell, and Sever is what transport them back and fourth. What is scary about these dreadful mines is that you know you standing on the very gateway that can send you into a dark abyss of evil. What is even scarier is the sight itself. A gigantic crack in the center of the mine that will lead you falling, falling into the end. An indescribable shock wave force leads all victims there and no matter what it is said that once you stare upon the area itself it is said you will fall in no matter what. Yes, the crack has an ability to make sure, even if you looking at it from a distance, that you will fall in. Rather it be by accident or just peer mistake of walking the wrong way if you see it you will be in it. No matter what, so if you were to venture into the mines, makes sure you don’t head to the center.

There are two more areas worth mentioning. Dark Sun is an odd place for it is constantly sunny there. Yes, the sun shines so beautifully and the sky is always filled with fluffy white clouds. And yet, this place gave birth to an evil soul, which I will not speak about until later. Sun Scratch gets its name from the amount of time that it takes to get a blister from the sun, which is almost instant. The great Mountains Of Delagain range from the north making a great desert.

East of Mt. Hell is the capital. Actually, all it is is a tower. The Dark Tower were the great evil lord himself waits. Here the very base of operation for the evil takes place. The Dark Lands are the base of the great World War that took place not long after the colony of the Riders came into power.

The World War

The Dark Lord came into power and slowly he attacked daily sending out a small group to help recognize the threat he gave. Seldeom was the first to realize the threat he was given, and they sent the council to investigate the matter. When they returned, one member had almost died and everyone was wounded. The mines of Sever were active again, and they attacked at full force at the Council. Seldeom began to panic as they realized that the Dark Lands were active in a dangerous manner. Days latter, a squad of dragons attacked the capital of Irasian. The dragons were ran off by the good dragons, but Irasian and Seldeom both knew that something was brewing and it smelt like war.

Half Of The Council of Seldeom attended a meeting with the Irasian leaders to discuss the course of action for defendants. But during this political debate the council of Riders invaded Seldeom. The other half of the council was ordered to engage the force. The Great Battle of Eran took place after months of fighting with them. But the fall of the Riders was only the beginning. The Dark Lord finally poked his had out of the lands and declared war against the world. Seldeom and Irasian begged Delagain for help and they agreed to put in whatever effort they could. The goal of this war: to defeat the Dark Lord and put the Dark lands back into its rightful passions; nothing.

A great meeting was held after the first year of battles. The Dark Lord had an unlimited forces that were brewing from the Mines Of Sever and rumor had it that he was working on a project to create a dragon that would be the dragon of dragons. A godly dragon named Redero. The decision was made that they had to take over part of the Dark Land. They formed a group of Rebels that used the ports of Delagain to sail around the bottom right side of the Dark Lands. The rebels advanced into the Dark Lands, and created history as they took over land and created the historical tale known as The Rise Of Transfrayo!

The Dark Lord raged with anger and then finished his project. The Great Dark Dragon titled Redero broke free from the volcanic mountain and began the great paralyzing terror rain. The dragon wasn’t a jaw- dropping creation, he was wrong. His left eye had absolutely nothing in it but a pitch white ghostly snare and his right eye was a pitch-black shiny eye with no pupil either. Bloodstains always ran down his lip. He was an evil creation. His massiveness fitted his 120mt wingspan. He put terror into the world. His first attack came to the Burning Village were at 5:00am he was seen in the early morning, like a demon rising from the ground, approaching on foot. Slowly, like he was teasing them. That was how he killed; he was a smart beast that made his victims death like a nightmare. He was a terrible thing; a monstrous viscous thing that hunted down the innocent like it was game. He was a monster.

The war continued for 3 years. Transfrayo was disturbingly bad, it had been under the condition of evil for hundreds of years and now they were trying to make this area like it was born to be beautiful. What made this worse was the war and almost constant attacks. Many famous battles were fought to keep Transfrayo in place; the men of Transfrayo were scared. But they finally created there own military that kept the forces off while they worked to bring the land up. During this time period the loosing battle to take out the Mines Of Sever took place. It was a peer lose, the hundreds of forces wasted them. 20% of the men found themselves falling into the pit anyways.

Then the day came. Transfrayo grew large enough and the military got up at full force. Transfrayo began marching towards the Dark Tower. The battle titled “The Battle Of The Frontâ€

Sir Zeldon stood atop a rock, glazing into the distance. The thundering echoes of battle as boulders slammed into the earth rang threw them like a series of bombs. Zeldon kept his gaze straight but yet angry. His towering appearance gave a sort of frightening feel to the workers. Like a great god he seemed taller the usual as he focused all attention to the battle ahead. Transfrayo was loosing the battle. The front has pushed them back far from where they had even started. Sir Zeldon and his men where needed badly. His younger brother Eran kept watch towards the sky, hoping to see the Dragons Of Irasian riding towards them.

Sir Zeldon grimaced and looked down at his younger brother who like him kept a perfect straight face. The council around them seemed fine, but the workers were terrified. The workers knew they were not fit to help fight with the council. They were almost underdogs, not worthy of being in a war at all. You could say that to them if you saw them now, they were petrified with fear. Some already had plans to run away. The cold fear of knowing that there was no possible way for it to be alright and knowing that you were headed right for a pit if fire that you couldn’t escape from made them want to just run away and crawl on a hole. Some just couldn’t take it, they wouldn’t take it. Rather they had to run away screaming for mercy some felt like they could not and would not handle it.

The council was different, they had full courage. There was actually no reason to fear for with Zeldon’s guidance it was impossible to loose. That was how it had been for the past years, when the council showed up, it was like the battle was already won. They were still true invincibility, not knowing the definition of lose. But this time, it was different. This was probably the greatest battle of their time; the world had its attention here. All force of the world had been put here, against this one front. How could they loose? The answer seemed simpler then that.

What was the most fear stricken thing about this moment was the rumor. Rumor had it that the Dark Lord who sat atop his tower had called in his pet dragon Redero to battle. Redero looked like a zombie dragon but had a heart too cold to be referred to as a dragon. There was no explaining his terrors that he caused over the past years. He hunted down innocent people. Hunted. Like we were pitiful animals to be made for food. He teased when he killed, he made sure that his killings where like something out of a little kids nightmares. From making sure that he came at the scariest time to just suddenly appearing like a demon crawling out of the Mines Of Sever he always appeared in a horrific way. His skin was rotten and his eyes were not of anything able to be called ‘real.’ Redero was no dragon, he was a Monster.

Another boulder crashed into the ground from a catapult way out in the distance. The shockwave shook the ground. Zeldon sensed his younger brothers sudden jolt of fear and he rested his hand upon his shoulder. Eran sighed. Dezarath was becoming impatient, “Zeldon, we cant wait any longer for them, we have to attack with out them!â€

Laurena stood silently. The wind blew her hair in her face. She was quiet. She unsheathed her sword that was given to her from Jonathan before she left the village. The icy cold handle gripped her bones tightly. She was ready for anything. She hated the thought of fighting, but Jonathan taught her how to handle a situation like this. “Bless you Jonathan.â€

My vision was bleary and my memory was almost completely gone. My legs refused to move and my arms would not carry me. As far as I knew I was dead. My heart was still beating and air still flowed threw my lungs. After my vision became better I looked at were I was. I lay on a hard sheet of rock. The sky had now gone from blue to gray. I was lost, didn’t know were I was or why I was here. I cried uncontrollably, now screaming. “Help! Please something, somebody!â€

“Now, this test will prove your skill. By using anything in this room, by using your endurance, your physical skill, plain and simply anything, you must try to win. I will attack you, harshly! I will try to literately kill you; you must try to literately kill me. Don’t worry, I will live. The question is, is if you will live.â€

It was all so complicated a…epic. So many things, so much horror, and yet…so much awesome adventure. This was my life in every way. “Now the big question is…is the part were you reach the Mountains Of Saranoge. Do you take the longer but safer rout around them, or do go over them? I hate to say, but going around them will take longer, the riders will be closing in on you by then…and most importantly…you will be to close to the Dark Lands. The very last mountain is only about 20 miles from the borer, so its way to dangerous. There are no mines to go threw, and if they are then I promise you if you enter there you will die! Any mine not mapped here is a trick, mines are bad things Nathan! Ones that are not mapped and licensed are extremely dangerous! The worst type of creatures appears from them. So I guess…your only option is to go over the mountains.â€
