As far as Kaiju Fiction goes, I consider anything crafted by Doug Wood to be essential, required reading.

Check out "Tree Hugger"
and "On a Distant Shore"
for two excellent examples of why.

It's true, the vast majority of "fan" storytelling ain't exactly the most polished or professional fare one can find. There are a few true gems out there though!

Watch for the "Eyewitness" collection coming to kaijuphile.com, and check out the Kaiju Fiction Showcases at Monsters 4U and G Project for a sampling of some of the more accomplished works around.
