I love this movie more each time I watch it. I put on the bluray for me and my 3 year old this morning.. So here's some general thoughts on the latest viewing.
Along with some awkward exchanges with a toddler
- The opening is a good transition from the Kaneko trilogy in both tone and works as a soft reboot.
- Love that this takes place in a smaller locale instead of a big city
- Enjoy the kids being kids
- "What's that red stuff?" - uhhhh that's why you always wear your life jacket.
- Peninsula -> Island, nice touch
- I prefer Zedus without the frills up
- Exposition drop in the jewelry store
- The red glow stone makes little sense...but it fits right in with Kaneko-verse
- "Why did the daddy hit him?" - uhhhhhh because he didn't listen to his daddy
- "I like Toto small. Is he gonna get small again?" Actually he is gonna get bigger... "But the boy said he's not going to get bigger" - Sometimes boys are wrong.
- "Naughty Toto made a hole in that castle"
