Legendary Toho star AKIRA TAKARADA has arrived in Los Angeles and is looking forward to seeing you at this weekend!

I am now happy to include him as one of the nicest celebrities I've ever met (along with Ray Harryhausen, Haruo Nakajima, etc). Mr. Takarada was gracious, and patient with everyone (and there were many) who wanted his autograph and picture taken with him. And yours truly got both!!

Mr. Akira Takarada enjoyed his time in Los Angeles and at Monsterpalooza. His one-hour Q&A was standing room only, and equal parts funny, informative and touching. On Sunday, Mr. Takarada was given a personal tour of the Monsterpalooza walk-thru dungeon (see last photo). Wouldn't he make a great monster movie host?

Thank you to organizer Eliot Brodsky, the entire staff and all of the fans for a well-organized and memorable show.
