KING KONG VS. GODZILLA 50th Anniversary Screening!

Postby bigknif » Wed Apr 18, 2012 11:02 pm

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of cinema's greatest monster battle! The mighty KING KONG vs. GODZILLA, King of the Monsters!

And as a titanic second feature see GODZILLA, MOTHRA, KING GHIDORAH ALL-OUT ATTACK!

The Historic Bal Theatre (14808 East 14th Street, San Leandro, CA) will be transformed into a giant monster battlefield!

BAFE will also be presenting a tribute to Toho Special Effects Designer Yasayuki Inoue. Mr. Inoue designed some of the most iconic images from Toho's classic films from 1954 through 1985.

Special guests for the evening, live via video conference, will be Godzilla experts Ed Godziszewski and Steve Ryfle. Ed and Steve have been responsible for the extras and audio commentaries on Godzilla and Toho DVDs from Classic Media, Media Blasters and others. Steve has authored the book "Japan's Favorite Mon-Star" and Ed produced "The Godzilla Encyclopedia". Both are working together now on a book about Toho director Ishiro Honda.

We will also have prizes, merchandise, displays and more!

It is an evening to celebrate everything Godzilla, with a certain giant ape crashing the party!!

So Bob Eggleton is going to do a painting based on the tail swing? Man I always wanted to see Bob paint Kong. After his awesome painting on the upcoming FMOF of Godzilla fighting Gamera, I've always wanted to see him painting Godzilla fighting Kong. Hopefully someone will take a nice scan/pic of it and post it here.
