I should have posted this a month ago (d'oh)!

Here in Portland we have been going to the same local "Comic Book Show" organized by the same people (who aren't interested in making it bigger) for the past 32 years. Fortunately someone decided to put together something bigger and better and it's hopefully the first of a yearly con here in Portland.

Wonder Northwest is a pop-cutlure geek-centric convention taking place at the Portland Crown Plaza on May 14th & 15th. This year, there's not a lot happening at this show that has to do with Godzilla, but I'll have a Kaijucast table in Podcast Alley (I won't have much for sale at the table, just my leftover prints, posters and some random stuff), hosting a very general-knowledge Godzilla presentation on Sunday as well as take part in two panels. I actually just wrapped up the powerpoint presentation yesterday.

If you are in or near the Portland area next weekend, please stop in and check out the con. It's $6 per day or $10 for a Sat/Sun pass. Check out the website for more details than I can pack into this post...

North Portland comic shop would most likely have been Bridge City Comics (who were just crushed by Godzilla's foot)... maybe?

Back on topic, though! If anyone on the boards is in Portland and can make it, I would really like to meet people. Stop by the Kaijucast table - I'm going to try and have cool stuff there.
