How's everyone feel about the awards lunch stuff? Worthwhile or not?

I went to one in the past and didn't really care for it, just wondering if other people have experienced different or not. They seem more for awarding people who organize the con and stuff, which is cool, but I'm just more about going to the con for meeting and hearing the guests talk.

I can take it or leave it to be honest. It's just one small part of the convention experience. I've gone about 20% of the times I've hit Gfest.
