I was also at that premier screening of Final Wars. There was a parent in front of us who was reading subtitles to their kid, but they were pretty discreet about it so I didn't mind. Plus I was so jazzed to be seeing a new Godzilla film in a theater full of other fans it would've taken quite a bit to ruin it for me. That was such an electric atmosphere, one of the funnest movies I've ever been to (and probably a significant contributing factor to why I still like GFW, despite what a terrible movie it really is). It was also my first Gfest and was just incredibly memorable all around.

And when Minya appeared for the first time... "SHOOT HIM!!!" :lol:

I'm ready for them to announce the special guests already.

One can still hope for Mizuno, right? Or if not, anyone else from the Matango cast. I've love to be able to meet with Kenji Sahara again, since I didn't have my Matango collection last time he came around.

I may as well face the fact that I'll never attend a G-Fest. Once upon a time, it may have been feasible to drive from Buffalo to Chicago, have some fun along the way, maybe meet some of you guys and whatnot...but being in Houston, Chicago's pretty dang far, and there's always going to be a trip back to Buffalo for a wedding or a graduation or a reunion or an anniversary where plane-ticket-money and frequent flyer miles are spent. Which sucks, because I hate going to Buffalo.
