I've been looking forward to playing this for a long time...but are all these cool new reveals (Rodan 1956, Mechagodzilla 1974/75, Godzilla 1964) only for the PS4 version? All I have is a PS3, so am I just going to be stuck playing as Heisei Godzilla only? If so, it's not even worth buying anymore, seeing how it's kind of a middle-finger to anyone who can't afford a PS4.

The PS3 version is a digital only release in the US and sadly yes the only playable monsters in the PS3 version are the Godzilla's and by that I mean Godzilla Heisei, G14 and Burning G.

On a side note we got the game in today at work and I tried buying a copy but the computer wouldn't let it go through as I figured it would. Oh well Tuesday will be here soon enough and it gives me something to look forward to after a 7 day stretch at work.

Shiny 1080p gameplay clips from the western version, and it looks like there's going to be a livestream of the game in just under a couple of days' time.

The PS4 trophies have also finally been revealed, and while they're similar to the PS3 ones, there are some differences given the new modes and playable monsters present in this version.

Just like every "Bandai Buget games", this Godzilla game has been confirm to NOT have DLCs. Just pre-order DLCs which has already been shown.

Heh, on the Bandai Namco stream just now they revealed a "crossover" between the PS3 downloadable Ace Combat Infinity game and the new Godzilla in the form of a level in Ace Combat where Godzilla is coming ashore and you've got to attack him. Hard to garner many more details without speaking Japanese, but it looked kinda neat.

I can confirm that if you preordered the game any where you get all the preorder stuff. I just got a code from Best Buy that gave me the Showa filter, diorama sets as well as G14 I even think I got the PS4 theme as well.

If you preordered you should have gotten early access to G14, Showa Mode filter which gives you G64 as well as all those diorama sets posted.

I got one code from Best Buy that unlocked all that, I thought it had the theme but it didn't.

All the stuff can be unlocked in the game already you just get early access to it.

Early reviews of the game haven't been great, and for good reason - it has little to offer unless you're a die-hard Godzilla fan. I've played the game for roughly 4-5 hours. It's mindless fun, Godzilla-style. I like the game for what it is, but I can't say it's worth 60 bucks. I actually got mine for $40 because of Best Buy's gamer club and some coupons I had.

Is it fun? Sure. But it's not a good game by any means. It is, however, pretty much what I expected.

Has anyone figured out how to unlock JJ three times in a row in God of Destruction mode?

I can get him unlocked on stage one they changed it to 50-60% destruction, then from there you take the top path until you get to area 7. Once I get to there it shows JJ's picture so I tried the same method as above but the level just ends.

Early thoughts on the game - after playing for about 4 hours last night, it's pretty fun. I played a few battles online, but the 3v3 usually turns into one monster keeping away from the others and letting them beat each other up. I do wish they had a team battle option. Stomping around the city is fun, but the controls are clunky. Being a Godzilla fan, I enjoy the game for what it is. I like the idea of leveling up. I like playing as other monsters. I can also see why some of the early reviews are bad and how the game may not appeal to non-fans.

Ok, I've gone from liking it to really liking it. Oh it has its flaws, definitely. But you remember how the Pipe Works games felt like an American developer making a Godzilla game? This game has an authenticity that was missing from that endeavor, and the more I play it the more I'm noticing all those little things. I'm loving the monster intros, and just the game perspective makes everything feel larger. I was in a mission where I needed to take down X number of jets and just watching them swoop around and me blast my atomic breath at them, yeah, I liked it despite the repetition because of how it looked like it was out of one of the movies. I just played through defend mode as Mothra and had a really good time with it trying to protect the buildings instead of mindlessly battling into them.

I can't say go out and buy this for full price, but if you're a G fan, definitely add this to your library in the future when the price drops.

I've unlocked all but six monsters, I need Anguirus, Biollante, Destoroyah, Kiryu and Super MG. I can't think of the sixth I that I'm missing I think it may be Burning Godzilla.

I've given up on the JJ trophy I can't get him to trigger on stage 7 for the life of me, I've tried destroying the city up to 50-55%, I've tried doing that before destroying a generator and I've tried destroying it 100% before destorying a generator I'm not sure what else to do.
