The would you kindly twist in Bioshock and Aerith's death in FF7 immediately come to mind, but those are probably pretty universal.

So on a more personal level, as someone with far too many hundreds of hours invested in the L4D franchise, i loved the trailer for 'The Sacrifice'

It makes me want to go play some right now.

I always loved the levels on Bespin in Jedi Knight II. An awesome setting from my favorite Star Wars film where you have your first Lightsaber duels of the game. And you had enough skills in the force to do some cool stuff but hadn't gotten so powerful as to be a ridiculous god-like caricature of a Jedi. It was bliss.

I actually still pop it in and play that segment maybe once a year just for kicks.
