I've given up on Shenmue. I loved the first game a lot. I bought the UK version of Shenmue II for Dreamcast through EB, and loved it. It was released for the XBox here, but I refused to buy it for the following reasons:

1. Game was english dubbed only
2. The bonus movie DVD had no subtitles, so the Jp version had to be watched raw
3. It was for XBox.

Then Yu said they were planning on releasing Shenmue III, and that the first two would be ported to whatever system 3 was going to be made for (one of the reasons was so we could actually play Shenmue the way it was supposed to be played, being able to use the data from the previous game), but now, Yu has said Shenmue III is no longer planned to be made, and Sega has no intention of bothering with it.

Thus, if Eidos ever ports the DC version of Soul Reaver to the PS2 (or another system), I am going to sell SR and BOTH Shenmue games and never look back at the series again since we all got screwed.

Shenmue was cool on Dreamcast it was quite the concept for it's time I remember buying it and being completly in love with it just because it was so revolutionary and another one of DC's many AAA titles.

By the time I got to Shenmu II on the Xbox though I couldn't get into the game the magic of Shenmu I guess lost it charm or maybe I didn't give the game fair enough chance. It's a shame that a part III isn't in the works but I don't think that type of game would fly now.
