Yeah, but Twin Snakes is kinda different (of course). I haven't played it myself, but beyond the obvious graphic and gameplay changes, I know they redid some voice work and of course all the cut scenes.

I just picked it up, and while I can care less about the first game (in fact, I'm switching out the PS1 discs with the Twin Snake discs as I type this), I have never played MGS3, and I haven't played MGS2 since it first came out, so this was a great deal. Sadly though, I did not know it did not include the MSX Metal Gear games. That is a giant loss on my part, as I have no way of ever playing them now.

I dunno, he still has a ways to go. He's ALMOST in the final leg of the game, though.

As for the End, there are 2 ways to avoid not fighting him: The clock trick and then shooting him on the docks earlier.

Well I got some great news, I just beat it. Man, I thought the game was ever going to end. First, I thought it might be over after beating Volgin and the tank, but then I had to fight The Boss, which was not too surprising, but then it just kept going on and on. I loved the ending though, especially when Snake walked right past the military dudes. At first, I thought Eva was going to die, and when I "accidently" killed her and the Major gives his time paradox speech, it was obvious she didn't. However, has she EVER been mentioned before? I mean, I guess she will be in MGS4, but other than that, where was she ever spoken of?

Anyway, enough with the spoilers, the game was really cool in the long run, despite how much it kicked my ass. The boss fights were well done, especially the one against The Sorrow (is that even really a boss fight???). I think the game could have used some improvements (or rather, some things from 1 and 2), but overall, it was very enjoyable and like I said before, I will have to replay sometime in the future, especially since it looks like I get to keep all of my items when replaying it. It is a shame I missed it the first time, but I think it is also a good thing at the same time since I probably would not have had the time to really enjoy it so much.

I must mention though, I am quite disappointed the set does not include the bonus disc that has the original MSX games. It would be nice to have been able to play those before starting Twin Snakes next week.
