Resident Evil fans rejoice! The first trailer for Resident Evil Degeneration HAS ARRIVED!!!



Kinda makes you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside, doesn't it?

...though as you can probably tell, it needs some polish.

Let's hope CAPCOM doesn't go the Square-Enix route and give us a BETA release, then a year later, a COMPLETE release on Blu-Ray, 'cause I may be a fan, but I draw the line at procrastination for money.

RE2 on the Wii? It'll happen - the N64 version of Biohazard 2 was speculated to be released on the virtual console a looooong time ago.


Now, IF, and that's a big IF, IF CAPCOM does make that RE2 remake, then it HAS to be that City of the Dead game that was planned for the PSP.....though what I'd heard around 2006 was that the game was halfway done and only the voice-acting, "special" scenarios, and and graphical twitches needed to be done.....

......unless this might be the exact same game just ported to the Wii....and I fear that.

I'd still be happy even for the VC release of RE2. The N64 version was the best IMHO, and the best RE of all time.

Sounds interesting....Too bad I don't have a Blu-Ray player...

Still, I have high hopes the 2-disk DVD release will have equally as good content included.

Word is they're(SONY) pushing the release of this movie back....the question is, until when?

Apparently, rumor has it this one'll be released in conjunction with RE5....in March of 2009. Damn, that's a long wait.

Also, in the rumor mill, several sites(I'll be back with the link later) reported that the Wii would get a HUGE RE release, to fill the void left by RE5's release on the other consoles- REbirth II, a.k.a Resident Evil 2, remade, remixed, and upgraded, like GC's Resident Evil.

HOWEVER, the rumor was quickly shot down at THIA.com where they got official word from CAPCOM rep - "....there are no new Resident Evil games currently being planned for the Wii console".

Sucks.....but that doesn't mean the VC won't be getting its' fill of RE, since there's rumblings(according to EGM and Game Informer) that CAPCOM will allow Nintendo to upload the N64 version to the service sometime in the near future.

Actually there is a Director's Cut of RE4 Wii in the works, which is supposed to have Hunk in it. One of my normal customers is a video game testor, and they were shipped a test copy of the DC.

Oh yeah, I'm not surprised Degeneration has been delayed. If it was going to come out in Oct, it would have been officially announced no later than July.
