What killed the 2nd film (no pun intended) for me was that stupid angle where Alice is now super-human... And the one dude who was a pimp or a gambler or something, but he was the comic relief and just was not funny at all. Loved the first movie, really didn't care about the second.

TO be honest - Nemesis if the only redeeming factor in the second one. The movie sucks.

The first one...well, it sucks too, just not as much as the second. The second had a lot of fan service, though - with nods to RE2 and 3 abound.

This third one...well...it sounds good, but when you take something like this and put it on the big screen.....you could end up with pure $#!t.

BTW, anyone care to speculate who the guy in RE5 really is?

Remember - no capcom rep said it was Chris. It's been assumed it was him. Why assume? Because Billy Cohen's voice actor apparently let the cat out of the bag on his website. Could it be a mistake, or was he shut up by the "Men From Caps"?

It's hard to strieka deal between casual film-goers and traditional fans. Really. I enjoyed the movie, even if it wasn't good, and others in the theatre did too, and I believe most of them weren't aware it was based on a videogame.

Just FYI, I think I've commented on this before, but Nemesis had MANY PWNGE(ownage/supreme domination) moments in Apocalypse, but they were cut due to length. Moments like Nemesis B!tch-slapping a zombie out of his way, pounding down an armored door onto a licker, shooting down a UBCS chopper(I think the same one that dropped down his equipment) onto a crowd of zombies, destroying other STARS members, and fighting Alice UFC-style more than once(moreso in the last battle) were certainly his better moments. The problem was that, again, some of these scenes weren't logical to the film, they were extra baggage, or they were HEAVILY editted.

I believe "Resident Evil Fan" and "The Horror Is Alive" websites have these stories in their archives, and REFAN and Bloody-Disgusting had several of the deleted scenes.

I sorta agree with Jack B's comments, except that Alice is one of those chcracters created to bring something new to the big screen. She wasn't meant to take away from the overall movie, but add to it - Anderson making her a BOW was an attempt to make something fresh. Wesker being added to the movie does give off the idea that she's gonna fight him, but then again, there're other baddies abound in the movie, and I doubt they'd kill off Wesker.

Also, bare in mind that these guys wrote it with the intention of NOT replaying the game, but giving you another side to the story - hence why Jill didn't fight Nemesis, and why several characters were dropped from the storyline.

Sure, I agree - Milla's a bit annoying to watch at times, and the story lacks that certain IMPACT that makes the games special, but think about it - how fresh can you rehash something that already has an established cast, storyline, and mythos?

This is really Anderson's problem when writing the films, because he could've easily just created an alternate reality with totally different characters and villains and labeled it Resident Evil. Imagine how many people would be whining then?

Well, I just spent nearly 4 and a half hours playing the Wii version. Aside from a few minor issues, I love it. I just wish I had my Chicago Typewriter with me. Aiming is easy most of the time unless the baddies are in your face, then things start to get difficult, but for the most part, the controls were easy to get used to. Thanks to the new knife ability, it is easy to shoot a Granado to the ground and knife it to death before it gets back up (unless you have many at you). Of course, I still wouldn't recommend it on the chainsaw bastards.

Oh, the Granados seem harder, while El Gigante and El Lago seemed easier. As for the Chief, well, he gave me a hard time becuase I had no healing items and 7 shotgun shells with some handgun bullets. Fortunately, I bought a rifle before facing him.

Oh yeah, and for some freaking reason, the Merchant is out of First Aid Sprays. I don't remember him not having them in the GC edition.

Temjin, perfect advise for you for the first village area, DO NOT RUN INTO THE HOUSE WITH THE SHOTGUN!! The chainsaw dude does not appear if you do not go in that house. What I usually do is sneak around the back and jump through the window of the house behind the lady forking the hay. From there, I get the goodies inside, jump out, run back to the beginning and wait until it looks clear enough to run up the hill to the small cabin, and then from there, I just kill off all of the baddies until the bell rings.

Oh yeah, did anyone else watch the UC trailer in the extras? It is a really awesome trailer.

Lastly, it seems like the mystery man in the RE5 trailer is going to be Billy. http://i16.tinypic.com/53q2h6d.jpg

Actually, I think this guy was placed in there - I'm on the hardest difficulty, and you know after you return from El Gigante? There were more villageers around this time. I ran around the first brown barn with the haystakcs and the cows in the shed..and as soon as I turned the corner....*yang-yaaaaaaang* Chainsaw Man.

I ducked him, and since I'm not that accustomed to the Wii-Mote, I accidentally did an about-face and miraculously, I side-stepped!!!! The problem came when going to the exit - as I back-tracked, I got surrounded and what do you know - apparently Salvador can also jump through windows, 'cause he got to me on the second balcony, near the bear-trap infested exit.

I've passed that part since then - I'm close to Mendez/The Mayor.

Just a tip - Del Lago's a PAIN to aim at. It's not difficult in practice, but, again, this is my first Wii game and I've yet to master the wiimote entirely, so very now and then I forget the movements and the control scheme....still, it's fun to shake the controller and see Leon quirming to get back on the boat.

I actually found Del Lago easier to aim at this time.

My god, I am at 5-2, and I don't think I'm going to make it. I still have all of those guards to go through in 5-4, Krauser in 5-3, and my ammo is quickly being depleted. Now I really wish I had my Chicago Typewriter with me. Of course, I thought the same thing in the tower before you fight Salazar becuase I had 2 shotgun shells and 8 handgun bullets left.
