Just made it to the sixth dungeon. I really haven't done much except got the map.

In other TP news over at IGN they did a comparsion as to which version was better the Wii or the GCN and I guess the GCN version has the slight edge over the Wii which is really weird because you'd think they'd give it to the Wii.

That is probably due to the saving glitch. Besides, IGN rated the Wii version as a launch title whereas the GC version is just another GC game. Launch titles always get lower scores.

Plus, the Wii version is mirrored from the GC version, meaning the map is completely flipped around. I'm kinda glad that I got the GC version, because I think it's cool that the map is still somewhat similar to the Ocarina of Time Overworld (Lake Hylia in the southwest, Gerudo desert in the west, etc.). Plus, I just can't afford to blow my money on a system just to play Zelda, so I'm glad the GameCube option was there. :)

As for where I am at the game, I'm almost done with the fourth dungeon. Gerudo desert stretches far, is dusty and lonely, and almost everything I wanted it to be so far (I'm really hoping there's more). Still, I kinda liked the minimalist desert in Ocarina of Time; hiding the desert in a howling sandstorm and making a maze out of it masked its true small size and made it seem endless (I love the ghost, too... spooky), plus, it had the Spirit Temple, my favorite dungeon (and as I said, I don't like the dungeons... but this one has cool music and atmosphere).

Anywho, speaking of ghosts, I don't like the Poes in this game. They look cartoony and lame, and I preferred the ones from the past games. However, the big Poes in the fourth dungeon... ... I wished they all looked like that.

One more thing I want to mention so far... scaring innocent villagers with your wolf form is the most hilarious and entertaining thing ever! I especially loved the Hyrulian soldiers' reactions.

I had no idea the Wii version had the entire map as being opposite of the GC version. How odd.

A question, but it will contain SPOILERS so don't read past this if you don't want to find anything out

I'm in the Temple of Time now (which is quite nostalgic), but I have a qusetion about Ganon. For whatever reason, I wasn't paying full attention to the scene when you beat the sand dungeon, so I was wondering what is Ganon's involvement in this? I know he was captured but then killed one of the sages (I am pretty sure those are the sages from Ocarina of Time, but I couldn't tell which one he had killed as I didn't see which of the medallions was broken in the scene) and was then thrown into the twilight realm. But did Zant inherit his power from Ganon? Oh, and obviously please don't spoil the ending.

Zant is Ganon I believe that's the name he took for the Twighlight Realm. I just beat that temple BTW, the boss is fairly easy.

That's basically what I had thought as well, although I am kinda hoping for a twist here. I'm not surprised the boss will be easy... honestly, not many are too hard in this one. Least they're different then what we usually get in a Zelda game. Hell, I thought the water temple boss was an idea taken from Shadow of the Colossus.

I think they gave us easy bosses because some of the puzzles are very difficult, take the water dungeon, I got lost for about an hour and half or so trying to find the dungeon key.

Wow... Temple of Time was extremely easy I thought. It honestly took me barely an hour. The others would take anywhere between 2-3 and one took about 4 (don't remember which), but man, I just zipped right through this one.

Yeah I thought the Temple of Time was easy too. How many heart pieces did you find in the temple of time? I only found one but I think there's supposed to be three from what I read. Also did you get any of the upgrades yet like the 3 bomb bags, extended arrow quiver, and the 600 rupee poach?

This message is for Brick btw or anyone can answer it.

I got the bigger wallet, got the bomb upgrades (ablity to hold 30 and the three bomb bags one for each type of bomb) and the larger quiver of arrows (I can hold 60)

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

To get the biggest wallet (1000 rupees) you need to collect all of the Golden bugs I believe there are 24.

To get the larger arrow quiver you need to get the clawshot then goto the Hyrule Castle area and there is a tent in one district right past the bug girls area. Get all the stars in the mini game and you'll get 60 Quiver, once you get the double clawshot go to the same area and you can get 100 quiver.

The bomb bags I forgot how to get some but one you warp to the Zora's domain and blow up a rock with a Goron in it and he'll give you a bomb bag. and to get the 30 bomb bag just fall down the hole on the south entrance of Hyrule castle and go to the rapid ride and unblock it for the shop keeper and she'll give you a bigger bag.

*END SPOILERS*

Those are all the things I know. So there's the one heart piece with in the room with electric fence and one in the room where you have to use the spinner?

I do believe the 2nd heart is in a room that branches off from that one you were talking about. If it makes it any easier, the room on the map is in a semi-circle and with 2 rectangles on the other end. The compass says there's a chest on the side as well. In the room there are the spiders and I believe one armos with 2 fenced in areas and a slightly raised column that is kinda long in the middle.
