Plus, the Wii version is mirrored from the GC version, meaning the map is completely flipped around. I'm kinda glad that I got the GC version, because I think it's cool that the map is still somewhat similar to the Ocarina of Time Overworld (Lake Hylia in the southwest, Gerudo desert in the west, etc.). Plus, I just can't afford to blow my money on a system just to play Zelda, so I'm glad the GameCube option was there.
As for where I am at the game, I'm almost done with the fourth dungeon. Gerudo desert stretches far, is dusty and lonely, and almost everything I wanted it to be so far (I'm really hoping there's more). Still, I kinda liked the minimalist desert in Ocarina of Time; hiding the desert in a howling sandstorm and making a maze out of it masked its true small size and made it seem endless (I love the ghost, too... spooky), plus, it had the Spirit Temple, my favorite dungeon (and as I said, I don't like the dungeons... but this one has cool music and atmosphere).
Anywho, speaking of ghosts, I don't like the Poes in this game. They look cartoony and lame, and I preferred the ones from the past games. However, the big Poes in the fourth dungeon...

... I wished they all looked like that.
One more thing I want to mention so far... scaring innocent villagers with your wolf form is the most hilarious and entertaining thing ever! I especially loved the Hyrulian soldiers' reactions.
