TN's Ninja Gaiden never interested me past Rachel :P. I dunno, I just can't seem to get myself to play it, even though I really want to....it just doesn't interest me. I got DMC4, though, which could be the closest thing to NInja Gaiden, and after having beaten it 3 times....It's awesome. :P :D

I don't see many worthwhile games out there for the 360. Lost Odyssey might be worth it, but it just doesn't interest me....heck, so far, the only games I've been playing are Mass Effect and SvR'08.....and the latter is too damn repetitive, and takes a while to get to the "juice" - meaning the actual ability to use your created characters freely with high stats. Sad if you ask me.

I'm not a Star Wars fan either - so Soul Calibur IV(ewww) and Force Unleashed don't interest me much.

The ONLY, and I do mean only(for now) game I'm looking forward to is Resident Evil 5, though knowing CAPCOM, I'm a bit hesitant to even attempt buying it, since they'll probably release some upgrade or something 3 months down, INCLUDING RE: Degeneration on DVD/Blu-Ray.

Also, Dead Rising 2, which is supposed to take things up a notch and let you run through the city streets while surviving the zombie outbreak...it's been decribed like Dead Rising with elements from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and RE4. Sounds interesting, and considering that I still enjoy the first one, I'll be sure to pick that up too.

Also n the zombie camp, we're supposed to be getting VALVE's "Left 4 Dead" this summer, a multiplayer survival horror/action from the Half Life crew. What makes this interesting are the options you have when playing and how you do that...basically, VALVE boasts that L4D will be what the Outbreak series tried to be but couldn't - a real multiplayer game wit real options in real time...nto to mention, 28 days/weeks later's "the infected", along with Romero's/ Mikami's zombies, and Snyder(DotD'04)'s "evolving" zombies. I hope that's true.

Let's not forget Street Fighter 2 1,1/4.....er, um...Street Fighter IV - It looks like CAPCOM is putting forth their all to make this game worth it and be NOTHING like the EX series, whose characters never got the chance to shine because of the nasty gameplay...and they should, considering SNK Playmore and SAMMY(Guilty Gear, Fist of the North Star) are waiting in the wings to unleash King of Fighters XII: Maximum Evolution.

Of course, LIVE get's Duke 3D, and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix - with sprites remade by UDON comics.

So....yeah....XBOX has some life in it, but no "killer apps" like they claim to have. GoW2 will be all hype.....and I don't see much on the horizon - at least not yet.

Tekken 6 wil be the same old thing, much like Street Fighter 4's the same old thing - These companies are too scared to deviate from their standard practice that they just rehash games over and over under different numerals and just add in some "new" gameplay elements.

SF4, for example, isn't NEW like they say - it's Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo plus Alpha minus 3rd Strike, since the "story" takes place between SF2 and 3rd Strike. Hmmmm....I wonder why they didn't continue the 3rd Strike storyline, since it was finally something different in the genre....

Another example - rather than remake and revamp SSF2TX, the team behind HD Remix is just porting over the Dreamcast version of the original and spicing up the graphics and adding new moves. However, underneath the shiny new coat of paint n' aluminum chassis lies the same game most of us have played many times before - same ol' SF2.

Now, about MK - MK was better off 2D. Once it got into the 3D realm, sure, it gained new ground, but the gameplay's horrid. I've been a legacy MK player since the beginning, when I accidentally stumbled upon a "lost" copy of MK for the Genesis. Since then, I've played all the arcades an the console versions, and up to now, the best, ABSOLUTE best, console version I've played has to be MK2 on the PSOne. Yeah, it exists. Don't ask how I got it, I just do.:P

It's frame by frame the closest arcade conversion you're gonna get from an MK game, and it includes the extra content(Arcade FMV profiles, rendered intros, live action game intro) and cheats found on the SNES and Genesis versions. Cosmetically, it's the best package out of all of them.

Then comes the LIVE UMK3(it's an emulated arcade port), followed by a brand new rendition called "Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy" which isn't a real game, but since it's essentially an update of a genesis "rom", it can be classified as such. Oh yeah, then MK Trilogy on PSX. :D

Deception, to me, sucked. The animations were bad, the move were....well, bad, the fatalitites wer no longer "unique(rahter OVERKILL) and the storymode was just wrong in many ways. MK4 was just horrible all over, and MKGold was EVEN WORSE, which surprised me plenty.

Deadly Alliance was a bit better than its' 3D bretheren, and since it was more in depth, it got points for trying, and its' characters and extras was even better. However, by now, the series felt cartoony to the core, and it shouldn't have been.

Armaggeddon did something interesting, and that's bring back EVERYONE. I liked that fact because now I could play as pretty much anyone I wanted to from the series in full 3D, AND make my own kombatants! that was freakin' awesome....until I actually played the game. Same ol' D.A. .Nothing new to add to the table besides the tributes.

Shaolin Monks, while not a fighting game, was awesome, fun, and entertaining. The many easter eggs, secrets, extras, and specials locked within were reason enough to purchase it, since beat 'em ups, GOOD beat 'em ups, are hard to come by nowadays. For an MK fan, this was a MUST, at least to squeeze every last ounce of juice this game had to see the extras.

As for Arcade Games gone console? Look at games like Guilty Gear XX, King of Fighters XI, Neo Geo Battle Collisseum, and Capcom vs SNK 2 EO - those games at least had more to offer once they landed on the consoles. DOA 2 had more to offer when it landed on the PS2. Then you have games like Marvel vs Capcom 2, SvC Chaos, and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection's SF 3rd Strike, which are ALL sorry excuses for ports, because they essentially give you what you had at the arcade, with nothing else. Tekken at least gives you some new content, even if it IS a steaming pile of worthless poo.

Now you hardly see any NEW arcade game that isn't Time Crisis or House of the Dead, or imported from Japan.

I can't blame you, Brian. BC is a fun game. Interesting thing about the remake that I heard last week: The final thing exceeds Microsoft's Live Arcade capacity limit, so BC for the Live Arcade will have a lower resolution then the PS3 and PC counterparts. MS apparently isn't willing to up the limit like they did with Castlevania a year ago.

I've heard good things about that....I just can't play it since I don't own a DS.

I'm all for a continuation of the original series too - If need be, borrow the concept of the "Legends" games and just add what's necessary to make the game feel awesome.

I mean, with today's hardware, CAPCOM could and SHOULD flesh out the original Megaman universe as it was meant to be seen in FULL detail. Let us go into the city, see the sights, talk to people, learn more abou tthe supporting cast, and flesh out the classic villains. Could you imagine how badass they could make guys like Crashman, Quickman, Shadowman, Skullman, and Snakeman be in FULL 3D?

I wouldn't mind if it's an action RPG similar to Kingdom Hearts or Crisis Core(essentially the same thing) but with Megaman powers. CAPCOM could easily create a massive game with all of the stories and characters from 1 to 8 this way.
