The latest G-Fan is out. Haven't had a chance to read much of it yet but looks like a good issue. Sort of a Godzilla vs King Kong issue, with a brilliant cover painted by Mr Todd Tennant. There's an article on GvsKK and a longer article on Godzilla vs The Thing/Mothra. The 3rd installment of the Ultra Q series finishes up in this issue. As usual there's coverage on this years G-Fest and the G-Fantis comic continues as does Down With Us. There's some really great art in this issue. I don't really get the Rex Summeral thing.
The article on Yokai Monsters was the highlight for me so far, in fact it made me spend $35 on ADVs Yokai DVD set. (They're an average of $12 on .)

Great DOTD Site, Sgt! Your webpage crafting is most impressive!
Have yet to see the latest G-Fan myself. Hoping the last few website reviews I wrote might still see print
Peace,
~E.

Another one of those rare occasions where I actually agree with you. Toho is almost as bad as Disney sometimes (like when Mike Eisner forced Roy Disney off the board and when the company told a non-profit preschool they had to take down murals of Disney characters

).

Toho doesn't have a problem with fan fiction; there are a number of websites posting fanfic that have never had any complaints about that from Toho. What they do have an issue with is their characters being used in an unlicensed product that is then sold. If G-Fan (or anyone else) can sell their own Godzilla comics and stories, why should other publishers have to pay Toho for the rights?
News and reviews are fine, but the minute someone starts selling unlicensed Godzilla products they will hear from Toho.
