They are very big and hard cover. Pictures are almost all black and white, but they are wonderful pictures and many are rare and never before seen. First one deals mainly in pictures of the different Godzilla suits. Volume 2(my favorite) deals with pictures of all the other toho kaiju...including non-Godzilla film kaiju such as Matango, Gorath, Dagora, etc.

I found Volume 1 on ebay a long time ago. Vol. 2 I actually found at a comic book shop in St. Louis about 8 years ago, which was shocking because St. Louis is without a doubt the *WORST* place to live if you're a kaiju fan....Trendmasters HQ is in St. Louis, and yet it was still very difficult to find even the most common Trendmaster G figures when they were making them. I am not really sure where to find these books anymore...ask collects or check auctions I suppose. It's kind of how I am trying to find Monster Heaven giant Hedorah or MH green and gold Gigan...not much success, but never give up! :D

Got my vol. 1 at a local comic book store a couple years back. They had previously had it for $80 (I believe), and one day I went in and they had a 50% off sticker on it. Vol. 2 I got off eBay for $50 about a year ago. So they are still to be had for not terribly outrageous prices.

Keep in mind these were put out by Hobby Japan mainly as reference books for sculptors and model makers. That's why they have such thorough stills of the suits. I've got some footage on a DVD of the guys building the Baragon suit for GMK, and they're refering to Vol. 2.

Alas, they are out of print. I'd keep my eyes on eBay. Save it as a search, and check back every few days. 'Prolly wouldn't hurt to hit every comic book/collectibles store in your area, either.
