I'll probably pick it up supposing it offers anything that Japan's favorite Monstar doesn't.

Picked up a copy of this this morning and so far, I like what I have briefly skimmed over. TsuTsui is a very polished writer who definitely knows his subject....I will post a review later this week once I read it all.

Oh-oh!

I picked up a copy at Barnes & Noble in Encino and have only skimmed through it (here and there).

Mike Schlesinger's work on Godzilla 2000 gets some drubbing ("moronic dubbing" and "ham-fisted cutesiness").

Godzilla 1985 fares even worse (as well it should). It was described as being "dragged into very unfunny mediocrity by the inclusion of a wise-cracking, smart-aleck U.S. Army major..." amongst other discriptors.

This is going to be a very interesting read! :D

Its an alright book and I agree with most of what the author said except when he talks about the Heisei films and how he seems to degrade them in terms of quality. But this is just my opinion so don't take it personally.

Anyway it is an interesting read but I'm not going to get it.
