Actually JD wrote in some way that GMK killed the Godzilla Series, while Tezuka's movies seem to be underestimated.

It seems like JD sees everything through the eyes of his kids now.
While I agree with him that GMK was the worst possible G movie for a Hamtaro double feature, it was NEVER the movie that ruined the series.

Nothing against Tezuka, I like GXMG and GMMG very much, just like GMK, but that statement was just so stupid one has to wonder what JD had in mind when writing this. Maybe he's back on his "against GMK" trip, after several month have passed since his better GMK review...

On the other hand, it's awful how Sony reacted to JD's offerings. I think you can read it in the letter section in response to someone's letter. I mean the thing with the burned Godzilla Compendium leftovers and the planned G history special issue for GINO's theater run...

About the comics - they are a waste of space and recources - all responsible persons for that should rather spend their time on saving the planet or something...

I still have an abo of G-Fan running because somehow it still contains Godzilla's history in print and $20 is just O.K. for me to spend on that in one year. But JD should focus on how to make the thing better again...he used to know how

Issue 67? :o Oh my god, I can't believe how long it's been since I picked up a G-Fan. The last issue was somewhere in the early 40s and to be honest, I can't say why I kept up with it for even that long. My first issue was #16 and in some ways I feel I could've stopped right there and not missed much.

It's good to see that JD's still beating that dead GMK horse. Every time I think Toho's too militant about not wanting anything to do with fan groups, he puts it into perfect perspective. How could he ever be surprised about how they treated him?

Ok, now what is everyone talking about?

What's this list of names supposed to be?

Thanks for the peace statement Armand, but somehow I doubt everyone is ever going to feel the same way regardless of the occasion. And anyone who read the editorial in issue 67 pretty much has a general idea of exactly who refuses to let certain things go.

How can you put hostilities aside when your blatently making up stuff about films like GMK and directors like Kaneko?

Read the agreement again. The purpose is to stop badmouthing fellow fans. Discussion on movies and moviemakers is allowed. JD has not attacked anyone in fandom (especially those who signed on). This is just a reminder that one can disagree with one's position on a film or its makers, just keep the personal attacks out.

Ok, this auto-censoring has got to stop. I can't believe a certain director's name can't even be written on these boards without turning into that ^^

Hey Armand, tell JD to let me display my vintage toys on the convention floor. Tell him he just needs to provide floor space and I'll take care of the rest.
