So, this came out, and it just as solid as issue 1 was. The Zilla/Godzilla fight went on a little too long. I loved hearing just what brought Woods into this and the Destroyah leg was cool....even if it was spoiled by solicitations forever ago.
I also really wanna see these aliens.

I think the whole flashback of Woods joining up was a subversive jab at the previous entries. i loved it. i think Matt Franks's art shines with the action sequences. for the first time in a long time i am looking forward to the next issue of an ongoing.
Also even though it was one of the longer fights, we still got more story than most issues of the last ongoing.

Issue 2 is the battle between Godzilla and Deanzilla. It last longer than it did in Godzilla: Final Wars. The writers of this comics remember that GINO can dig underground. While Deanzilla lost this battle, he get to live to fight another day. It's a good way to introduce Deanzilla to the comics.
