Very cool that IDW are releasing some stuff that otherwise would have been left forgotten. I've never read either book and don't know much about them.
And oddly enough, I've never even SEEN Konga.

Here is a cool cover from the series
At the end of the story, Konga tackles Uuang-Ni off of a cliff and they crash into the Pacific Ocean. After an underwater battle, Konga emerges victorious and swims back home to England.
But Uunag-Ni fans claim that Konga was running away at the end. They also claimed that in the South Pacific version of the story...Uuang-Ni wins!!!!
BTW here is a 1966 truck commercial featuring Konga

You guys are making me feel guilty for slamming Konga now.
I fully admit to laughing at the Konga references and pics above.
I decided its going to be a selection in any future viewing poll I do.....with Yongary, of course.
(provided someone doesn't beat me to the punch!)

So I just got the Gorgo release.... Incredible detail, highly recommended, I dare you to pick this up off a shelf and not buy it. I will post a review and pictures when time allows, but I definitely wanted to sing its praises based on my first impressions.

If there was any doubt I'd pick these up it's been dashed what with me going gaga over Steve Ditko in my recent sampling of old superhero comics. It may sound like sacrilege, but I think I prefer Ditko over Jack Kirby (who's also great, of course).

Any details on when the Konga release for this is going to come out??
(i can't say enough nice things about the presentation and how well the Gorgo book was put together... its a great book for people that like books, yet alone comics)
