Posted: Thu Aug 23, 2012 7:44 pmThese are obvious attempts at making characters that are like, but not too much like, the Toho monsters for rights reasons (notice "surrogate"). In the end I suppose even these were too close for comfort: that Angilas turtle looses it's spikes and becomes a more generic snapping turtle in the issue.
