Ugh... (spoilers)

This issue takes about two minutes to read. The fight scene started to get my attention, but abruptly ends and the entire issue seems rushed...like most of this series.

Honestly the writing in Kingdom of Monsters is so sloppy and serves no purpose. The story arc jumps around and introduces random characters and when they die or even when monsters fight there seems to be no real value to what is going on. There is such a lack of depth and character to the entire thing...it's really a shame that this is the series we get from IDW. I would rather see Godzilla Legends 3 get it's own story arc, which was better and more engaging in one issue than all of KOM combined.

I'd be fine with Legends #3 getting a series....but I'd much prefer something in the style of Legends #1.

Either would be good, though.

Finally picked up KOM #11. I finished it in, I kid you not, roughly 90 seconds. UGH.

I really wanted to like this series, and I gave it PLENTY of chances (and second-chances, and THIRD-chances...), but I lost my patience with this nonsense around 6 months ago now. NOTHING HAPPENED.

FOUR SPLASH PAGES. The only characters to appear at all were Minette and Mallory, and they do essentially nothing (which, if I recall, what little they DID do was just a repeat of last week). This issue did almost nothing to move the plot forward. As much as some people hated the socio-political commentary in the first half of KOM, at least the first half had a PLOT and CHARACTERS - their attempt to create a post-apocalyptic world in the second half has been an abysmal failure.

Here's to hoping the next ongoing will be better.
