The trend that disconcerts me is this - every time a new issue comes out, someone bashes it and explains why, then someone comes along and essentially says "Yes, you have valid points, and I realize this comic sucks, but I like it anyway!"
What, exactly, is there to like about Kingdom of Monsters?
I read comics for their storytelling possibilities, and at the very least, for amazing artwork, but this comic hasn't remotely met either of those criteria.
There is essentially no real narrative holding together any of the disparate threads in this comic other than "monsters are appearing all over the place and killing people and here's President Obama".
And like Godzilla 2000 said, you get the feeling that Powell and Marsh don't care about Godzilla and aren't putting much (if any) effort into writing a half-decent story.
I honestly think myself, and everyone else here put more effort and thought into our posts and discussions than the writers ever themselves attempted with this comic.
