While I think it's nice that Frank was allowed to use the Showa Gigan design (this nonsense from TOHO insisting that new designs be used, such as insisting on KINO and nixing showa KG, has got to stop), this is the first cover he's done that I'm not that crazy about. Gigan looks a little too "Trendmasters"-ish, if you know what mean. Overall, a nice cover, but not one of his better ones....

I'm not buying this particular title anymore, but I'll continue to post news/pics when I come across them. We've seen the Frank/Zornow covers for months now for issue #6, but never the Powell cover. Well, here it is:

If the news about him leaving after issue #8 is true, then I say good riddance and don't let the door hit you (or Marsh) on the way out.

I'm assuming this is MG's footprint...

Since I'm from Detroit, this intrigues me. I still haven't gotten anything since issue 4. I just find that I'm too busy to keep up. I keep forgetting to buy these things. Might as well wait for the trades at this point.

So they're going with the scrawny KINO design for G's most powerful foe....it just validates that I made the right choice to stop buying this comic awhile back..bring on Godzilla Legends already...

Doesn't look bad. I'm still enjoying Santos' art and this is no exception. Would I rather have the Showa Ghidrah design? Absolutely. But I actually really like seeing the GMK design enlarged and given a more sinister look, the same way Pipeworks and Zornow did. I dig it.
