Big '90s energy in these. They look fun to play with, which I'd say is something of an accomplishment considering how bland many modern toys are tending towards.

I do not know who this line is for. NECA has been killing it with their Alien and Predator lines (although I'm waiting for Disney to get in the way somehow) for collectors. The Kenner line seemed odd looking back on it (kids toys based on a gore filled monster movie with designs based on overtly sexual imagery of HR Giger) and this just even more confounding to me. These look like post-preschool kids toys and I think it's because the aliens are just one solid color with little to no paint application on them. Just seems cheap to me.
At least when the Kenner line came out, most of the Alien and Predator movies were well received (they each only had one black sheep in the series instead of containing one or two good films amongst the other dreck). But now? There hasn't been an Alien or Predator film that has been well received by the general public in a LOOONG time (and this is coming from a weirdo that liked basically everything aside from AvP1).
But hey, people will like what they like and honestly if this makes a profit it might lead to more Alien media, which I'm fine with. It's just not for me.

Yeah, just saw these at Walmart along with new Playmates ( I think?) Godzilla from Final Wars and Kong Skull island. Looking very purposefully to be part of the same line despite being obviously different
